Building a Technical Assistance Team

This Web site provides information that may be used in the development of a team of professionals that will deliver technical assistance to address challenging behavior of young children. These materials are meant to support the development of procedures and effective practices of a team that has already received extensive training in the application of positive behavior support strategies that are based on information obtained through functional behavioral assessment.  During the training process, the training facilitator should work closely with the team members to identify the specific sections of the manual that will be addressed at each meeting. This will allow team members to review material prior to a team meeting and facilitate productive work time during the actual meeting time. Once a team has instituted the necessary procedures for the delivery and monitoring of technical assistance, this site may serve as an ongoing resource to the members of the technical assistance team.
